ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm J’elchri, but most people call me Jel. I'm a registered Nutritional Therapist (NT) running an online service, and I also provide corporate and community wellness support. My journey into this field began unexpectedly after I became unwell in 2016. For years, I went back and forth to my GP trying to understand my symptoms—persistent gut issues, depression, hair loss, and hormone imbalances—but I never received clear answers. My health continued to deteriorate, and I felt like I was spiraling further into illness.
In my frustration, after extensive research, I decided to see a Nutritional Therapist. This was the turning point in my journey. Within six months of working with an NT, I knew I wanted to dive deeper into understanding the body and its systems. I became fascinated by how interconnected our physical, mental, and emotional states are, and by the importance of viewing the body as a whole to achieve long-term wellness.
I trained to become a Nutritional Therapist over four years—a year longer than planned, as it took time to reach my own health goals. Today, as a registered NT, I am committed to ongoing education and have pursued additional training in areas including the nervous system, stress, trauma, and their roles in health.
Through my own experience, I discovered that stress and trauma were significantly impacting my health, contributing to many of my gut issues. While not the root cause for everyone, the nervous system’s role in gut and hormone health is undeniable. This understanding led me to train in Polyvagal Theory with Deb Dana, a leading expert in trauma and the autonomic nervous system, whose work with Dr. Stephen Porges shaped my approach to supporting clients. I am particularly interested in how past experiences and inner child work intersect with physical wellbeing.
My mission is to empower others to take active responsibility for their health. Before working with a Nutritional Therapist, I often felt dismissed, with my symptoms labelled as “all in my head.” This is why creating a safe, supportive space for my clients to share their stories is central to my practice.
I specialise in gut and hormone health, including conditions like Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, which are closely linked to gut function. My approach focuses on uncovering root causes rather than just treating symptoms. I aim to help you tune into your body, understand its messages, and support it through lifestyle, nutrition, mindset, and somatic practices.
Since 2024, I have been hosting retreats abroad and events in the UK that explore mind-body-spirit wellness. These immersive experiences are designed to connect you deeply with your body and support holistic wellbeing.
In addition, I now provide corporate and community wellness support, offering professional, flexible, and holistic programs tailored to employees, teams, or group members. These sessions are practical, interactive, and impactful, incorporating a trauma-informed approach where relevant. I use somatic practices—including breath work, movement, music, and sound—alongside nutrition, stress management, and hormonal wellbeing, with a strong focus on supporting the nervous system.
If you’d like to work with me, I offer packages to suit different budgets and health needs. If you’re unsure what’s right for you, I provide a free 20-minute discovery call to discuss your goals and the best way to support your health journey.
I look forward to connecting and being part of your well-being journey.
Jel x
